Sterrer Realty, located in the heart of the trendy West End of a bustling City called Long Beach, New York, has had a team – oriented approach to serving the barrier beach (Long, Lido, Atlantic, Point Lookout) and Island Park since the late 1980s.

It’s team consists of the 2003 LIBOR Realtor/Broker of the year Neil Sterrer, it’s owner/broker, his incredibly hard –working wife Camille, specializing in all aspects of leasing along with associate-broker Mary Schwenk, diligently handling all aspects of sales and rentals. Three assistants support the team with all back office work freeing the team to better serve the buying and selling public.

Sterrer Realty is an independent boutique office specializing in repeat and referral clients and customers, having always been top producers and pacesetters on the barrier island. They do it by working harder, smarter and full-time.

Neil, in addition to his responsibilities as owner/broker, is also a NYS certified residential real estate appraiser, Mortgage broker and Notary Public. Neil has served as a long time elected LIBOR Director, Co-Chair of the Long Beach/Island Park Brokers Council and Vice-President of the local Chamber of Commerce. He has served on numerous local, civic and Realtor committees and written numerous articles for newspapers and magazines.

Camille is highly respected by her peers and is often referred to as the queen of leasing on the barrier beach, but often places those tenants, as purchasers, in new homes.

Mary has been with the company since its inception, and has displayed tremendous loyalty, something every broker is grateful for. Mary has a tax background along with a buyers broker certification.

Our assistants are computer whizzes and filing fanatics. They lend great support to the team.

The Sterrer Realty team has received many awards, and has lots of contacts in the real estate community, having placed almost 2000 buyers and tenants on the barrier island.

Leasing 

We have the resources, and do all the work to find the perfect candidate with excellent credit and references. If you don’t already have a trusted realtor, we are a full-service company who has a strong presence on the barrier beach along with Island Park and know our specific neighborhood intimately.

More importantly, if the tenant suddenly stops paying rent, you can always go to us for help. We’d of course be willing to intervene because we placed the tenant, so it’s somewhat our responsibility.

We typically run credit checks and ask for references (employment and personal). We are there with you every step of the way to a successful tenancy.
